The gameplay, albeit a bit repetitive and glitchy at times, was fun, the story was linear but engaging and immersive. The first game followed the titular protagonist, Alan Wake, a writer who just needed a long well-deserved break from writing. He arrives at Bright Falls, a fictional town in the Pacific Northwest of Washington State with well-known beautiful landscapes.
